At CVP, psychotherapy is a client-centered approach to assisting individuals with processing personal challenges that impact their life and support the client in making healthy life changes.

Some challenges that individuals may experience could be:  

  • To manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD
  • Difficulties managing emotions
  • Difficulties related to relationships and parenting
  • Difficulties dealing with grief and loss
  • Inability or difficulty identifying cycles of behavior
  • Processing trauma
  • Improving self-esteem and communication skills

When appropriate family members and friends may be included in the treatment process. Psychotherapy may use strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic-behavioral Therapy, Creative Therapies, Reality Therapy and Trauma Informed Therapy strategies.
